Translating
is for us a personal and creative work, involving high
responsibility. We understand that a good translation
goes beyond the mere and simple transference of a text
from one language to another. One must also transfer
the essence, or the “tone” of the document.
And to do that, besides having a full command of both
languages, a minimum knowledge of the theme is required,
as well as a cultural level high enough to adopt the “tone” adequate
to each case.
It’s only natural, for example, that the translation
of an academic thesis to be presented at a congress abroad
shouldn’t have the same “tone” as that
of a promotional text for the launching of a new product
or service.
That’s what we do better. |
